Meeting the needs of our customers with a hybrid turf of mixed natural and synthetic grass that offers quality and savings.

The sport fields for outdoor sports, are made in clay courts, natural grass or artificial turf. Professional players have tried all kinds of fields and confirmed that the best playing field is made in natural grass because it is easier to control the ball after each bounce and provides a fresh playing surface that offers greater comfort for athletes and spectators.

At the same time the field in natural turf is safer for players because the foot of the player interacts better with the natural grass and in case of a fall the natural grass is much less abrasive than the other two types of sport playing surfaces.

However, natural grass requires high maintenance for a number of hours of game limited and after a certain number of hours of play the natural grass gives way and forms dangerous divots to the growth layer. The presence of numerous divots and the increased demand for more hours of play for each field has forced most investors to move towards the synthetic turf to reduce also the maintenance.

Nevertheless, even today, the natural grass fields are cultivated in the ground and only those for professionals are made sand based growth mediums to increase the drainage of water and avoid abandon matches in the event of heavy rainfall.

The number of new fields is increasing every day and the majority are still made on natural grass sown on natural soil meanwhile those in artificial turf are about 10-15% depending on the market.

The methods of modern construction of natural grass fields involving the use of sand based substrates for the realization of high quality fields. Over the past 30 years, some have developed several methods with the application of synthetic materials for reinforcing the natural grass:using fibers or small nets mixed in the sand based substrate or with the use of synthetic turf with partially biodegradable backing or simply by the use of synthetic fibers implanted up to 20 cm deep into the sand layer, increasing the stability of the sand and in some cases the number of hours of play with good quality standards. Very often, however, was necessary to make many compromises on the conditions of the natural grass growth and consequently on the maintenance and on the duration of the system, increasing significantly the costs for the construction and for maintenance without meeting the requirements of the market to reach the real number of use of most of the clubs. In fact, these technologies have so far been reserved primarily for professionals that may have a high budget.

An experience of over 20 years, a detailed study and extensive testing on international level has allowed us to find the long-awaited solution to offer the best hybrid turf available today in the market that can be a real alternative to entirely synthetic turf.

By studying all these systems we understand all the advantages and their limitations. Thinking out of the schemes, we tried to develop an innovative hybrid turf system of mixed natural and synthetic grass that could meet the needs of the market for a high number of hours of play, improving the conditions of growth of the natural grass to reach an excellent quality standard in very short time using the summer break in a simple but functional way with low budget.

Developing the hybrid turf PowerGrass we took the best of both worlds of natural grass and synthetic turf. It is an innovative patented concept because you can practice the sport in a hybrid turf with all the advantages of natural grass and in areas where there is eccess of foot traffic the synthetic turf emerges and supports the game activity until the next pause for maintenance.

1. natural grass grows better within this synthetic grass, from the first period of growth, compared to any other system of old concept;
2. when the foot traffic is extreme, as for example in the areas of the goalmouths, the game continues on synthetic turf emerging to support the game until the end of the championship.

The market is moving towards hybrid turf and that is why FIFA has decided to undertake a process of experimentation with the four Football associations of the United Kingdom.
